   Hi Shorya

   You have taken me down the memory lane by sharing these pics, where I could recall when Google was trying to do its bit to take its best foot forward. There was Askjeeves who was one of the leaders and hotmail was just sold by Sabeer Bhatia to Microsoft.

   Facebook is very much younger in the pack and the youngest of the pack I feel is the twitter.

   Now Google has taken youtube to the great heights and Yahoo has partnered with the Bing for the search.

   Thanks again for sharing this wonderful pics as a reminder of the those days.

   A very interesting flash back Shorya,
   I could remember those days vividly well and just as you said, no one ever thought then that these sites will later become the internet kings. Its so amazing.

   That is how most of the big companies today started, taking a baby step. I believe that if Mack had waited for perfection, he couldn’t have built facebook by now, he will still be waiting.

   We all have to start from somewhere and then improve as time goes by.

   Thanks a lot for bringing our memory back to life Shorya.

   I forgot how they looked this site years ago. I remember only Facebook.

   A few years ago, no one knew that this site will be so successful and so important in our daily life!
   Often wonder what will happen in a few years. Which of these pages will remain,or if there will be new and more effective. We will see.

   Nice flashback Shorya!

   I guess with this post all of us are going to go down memory lane and remember the time when Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. were all introduced. I don’t really recall YouTube when it first came up as I wasn’t using it much, nor was I ever on Hotmail, but the others I do remember well enough.

   I think all of them have come up in a great way from the time they had started – long long back. Their interface has become all the more cleaner and larger, or perhaps they have removed all the extra things so it gives a neater look now. Nevertheless, I’m sure this isn’t the end of things, and we might be seeing more changes in the near future.

   But that’s what life is all about – change…isn’t it? And any change for the good is always welcomed.

   Wow! I really enjoyed this post, I remember when all of these websites looked like this. It’s amazing how much Facebook has progressed through the years. I remember using it back in college to keep up with someone I just met on campus and now it’s used by everyone! Very cool post.

   Hi Shorya,

   I haven’t had an Internet connection to see ‘em live that time but after being on the web, I’ve seen come of ‘em circulating at Facebook and some other websites

   Sometimes when we see websites we wonder how come they have come up with all the features at once but they were improving over time. Even Facebook took some years to hit the top.

   Can’t imagine how dynamic the Internet is and things change everyday.

   Now, you better save a screenshot of yours too
